Note - Notes: VARATO NEL 1941 DAI CANTIERI OTO DI LIVORNO. CONSEGNATO ALLA FRANCIA IN CONTO DANNI DI GUERRA NEL 1948. LA MARINE NATIONALE LO RIBATTEZZO' DUPERRE' UTILIZZANDOLO SINO ALLA RADIAZIONE NEL 1961.
The ex-Velite as V.3, ready to be handed over to the French Navy at Toulon, on 24 July 1948; renamed Duperré she served briefly, being discarded in 1951. Notice the stern, coming from the incomplete Carrista, modified for minelaying: Velite was the only "Soldati" class destroyer so fitted, and was thus easily recognizable from the other sister ships of both series.
